Hallucination by M.A. Usman

ma

Hallucination
My eyes slither on a glittering frame
That encloses photograph of my sweetheart.
My scattered words will render her true fame
Blown by media like embers from a hearth.

I am followed by her twinkling brown eyes
Where ever I step across the room.
I wonder whether she can hear the cries
That arise from my burning soul in gloom.

Eyes, lips and chin and lustrous flowing hair
And the maddening fragrance rising from her dress
Knock for once at my sad heart amid despair
Thrill awhile, and then desert in bleak distress.
